Good to see all the new members,sometimes its hard to keep posting on the forum due to allways being out in the field so to speak,but keep up all the posts and pics if you have any,As ime sure you can see Northenlight is the resident expert,i know some of you have a different name for him LOL,and i myself regularly read all the posts and take note of all the new members,It is quite a new forum so invite all your mates and keep up the good work guys. Sorry i hav,nt posted for a while but thats me on the left in the pic with my son ,working hard in southern spain, say no more.

Hi billdill ,Northenlight is usually the one to ask about digs locally,but i know that he has loads of people wanting to do the same so cant allways accomodate everyone,have you only been digging for 2 weeks as you are new to digging or just getting back into it,and have you had any decent finds as yet,if you know any good sites yourself let Northenlight know.hes allways interested in swapping info.

Looks l;ike a perfect hole Dale has dug there,beleive me ive been digging with Northenlight and if he says its a good hole it is LOL.some great posts lately with all the pics to go with them,really good to see someone taking the time to show the rest of us this interesting hobby at its best.

Hi Jason,Northenlight mentioned the Harper Hey site near Rochdale,dont know how far away you are but ive also heard some good bottles been coming of there recently,its not too deep either,probably a good place to start,take a friend with you not a good idea to dig on your own for obvious reasons,let us know if you go.

Ive listed a load of bottles on Ebay,just having a clearout,ive got loads of pictorial beer bottles and pub flasks aswell if any one is interested lrt me know.

Keeping up the posts

Not been able to post for a week or so,been trying to earn a few pennies for the holiday,I spoke to Northenlight who is having a few problems with his Pc,but i can tell you he is still digging and as soon as its sorted will be back with loads of news.

Hi solodiver ,thanks for joining,does your user name suggest a hint of metal detecting aswell as bottle digging,Northenlight is possibly the best member to get you into new digging sites,i know how you feel digging sites which have been emptied over the years,seems we have to dig deeper now to find anything,anyway let us know if you do turn anything interesting up.

I will let Northenlight explain the weekend dig,i know it lasted more than the weekend, as i know he actually went 3 days in a row,hes lying on his back now in bed LOL.
