i wasnt interested in topics of fakes and reproductions on our site, but some disturbing news regarding the kangeroo style judge and jury that bbr have undertaken to try and save the hobby.or is it just a ploy to make him richer..what hapens when a item is dug and it gets graded fake .this has hapned to one of our members recently even tho there was half a dozen witneses seen this item dug.question is it going to hapen to you and how would you feel.this person needs to deliver is verdicts with concrete evidance not just is own opinion.it is true to say there are fake and repro items out there but they are normally quite easy to identify.and each item should be taken on merit.and it seems that bbr have launched a personal vendetta against one of our members.and in our opinion if this was a woods pot lid he would have said its not right.our site is for bottle diggers and collectors unlike bbr who are purely profit making outfit.what have they done for the hoby.sellers bottle show auctions and highly prised entery to there events they allso offer you a magazine at a cost wich advertises everthing bbr related.so does this put anything back into digging,in a nutshell no.. this person probably has never dug in is life, and regards to knollege i question is judgement is personal rather than proffesional.is this the type of person you need has judge and jury.you veiws and comments are welcome or if you have any stories you would like to share about your tretment from bbr.

BBR what a joke They are suppost to be professionals!! They should provide the service they advertise regardless of any personal opinions and any dealings with them should be done with great caution !!! If BBR deny this being nothing more than a vindictive attack they need to brush up on their knowledge, Then maybe they can do the job their paid to do !!

ive just deleted two posts.on the grounds that if you are going to comment on any of the forums topics please become a member or at least give the cursity of giving a name.our forum is for those who enjoy going out every weekend and digging up bottles has a hobby and not for financial gane unlike the bottle dealers and auctioneers who have created this long standing problem and maybe these peaple need to take a very long hard look at what they are selling before casting blame at others and trying to make scategoats.this forum will not be dragged down like the other forum site with peaple having snipes at each other wilst remaining enominous this is not what our forum is about and we wont go down that road.

well it didnt take long for the stories to come in.see what you make of this one.a long standing stall holder at the bbr october show had two codd bottles on is stall for sale.a mr b asked him to remove them quite publicly.wich he did .upon him removing the two bottles he was aproched by two seperate parties to sell them they bought the bottles for one hundred pounds each...we have recived further information that both these bottles are indeed genuine and not fakes these bottles was prised around five hundred pounds each ill keave you all to come to your own conclutions..

we are now very close to exposing alan blakeman and bbr auctions.the information that we have recived over the last three months will make some quite disturbing read.unlike the bbr mag that has just produced an article with 80% lies and fabrication all our work has been checked and we will only print the truth with facts that can be backed up.legal advise has been taken regarding some of bbr content and is going to be dealt with in due course.i will give bbr the chance to come clean via phone or email before we print our next article.over links with a well known restorer from lancashire and numerous high prised fake and reproductions items he has auctioned over the last twenty years.allso concerns regarding false inventories regarding codds wallop meseum donations.we are allso investigating reports that the newly formed group they call fackra are intimadating collectors via phone calls and offering money for information see previous reply regarding what could be a scam.moor to follow on this subject.like we say we have taken legal advice on some of the information we have recived and will only print the truth with legal backing and endorsments.watch this space.

I recall that when acid dipping and resin repairs came into the hobby there were critics out there that condemed this activty and grizzled about the items that had been tampered with..now people willingley pay up to have items restored even though they may be made from resin or had its original surface removed and what ever is left polished up.All this talk and moaning about repro and fake bottles as though there is some criminal activity going on is just plain nonesense..The antiques trade is full of reproduction ..from furniture to porcalain it has been so for hundreds of years. If you attend the likes of Newark and Swinderby there are stalls full of repro..is that a crime ?? Rule number one whether its a bottle or a sideboard "buyer beware"Lets face it if an experienced auctioneer and expert for 20 odd years is prepared to pay thousands of pounds for an item and then decides its a repro and retaliates in anger by naming the seller in a vindictive way through bad publicity then sureley the auctioneer/expert is at fault and simply showing a serious case of sour grapes. ineed how many items has the auctioneer/expert proffitered from over the years by putting through his auction items that were either repro fake or restored..probebley enough to cover the cost of his own mistake hundreds of times over..I wish you guys well with your task in exposing the truth surrounding the activities of the auctioneer and lets hope that some of his victims who have suffered financial loss at his hands come forward and give him a taste of his own medicine..
